OUR PASTOR

 

Pastor Myron and Jenny Leavitt are from Victory Chapel Christian Fellowship Church in Jacksonville, Florida, Pastored by Ron and Bridget Meyer, and affiliated with The Potter's House Ministries founded by Pastor Wayman Mitchell and his late wife, Nelda. Myron and Jenny Leavitt were saved and married in the Jacksonville church, where they served the congregation faithfully on the church staff and in various leadership roles over the years.

 

In 1996-1997, they pioneered a Fellowship church in Palatka, Florida before returning to the Jacksonville congregation. After Jenny battled Stage 4 cancer in 1998 and saw God do a tremendous healing miracle, in 1999, they were asked to take over the pastoral role at Victory Chapel in the beaches area of Jacksonville. They pastored the church there for almost 3 years and were instrumental in building a core foundation of people who are still members of that church today. 

 

Upon returning to the Jacksonville congregation in 2001, they served faithfully in various leadership roles over the years, but especially working with the youth and children. With the blessing of longevity, they were able to see the children's ministry blossom and grow to the vibrant ministry it is today and to see children raised in church turn to Jesus at a young age and serve him faithfully throughout their teen years and into adulthood!

 

In August of 2017, they answered the call of God to bring the Gospel to Sanford, Florida, with the final move taking place in March 2018. By September, it was obvious that a building was needed and God provided the current location. Pastor Leavitt and his wife Jenny look forward to seeing God establish this local church as a pillar in the community with a vision to reach Sanford, the surrounding areas and the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ!
